Penny
A heart for animals and healing.
My lifelong passion for animals began in childhood, nurtured by my father's compassion and our shared commitment to helping creatures in need.
Over the years, our home has been a sanctuary for countless rescued animals, instilling a love for all living beings in my family, especially my grandchildren.
Beyond animal rescue, I've dedicated my life to supporting individuals with special needs. As a home provider, I've had the privilege of homeschooling my children and grandchildren, fostering a love of learning in a nurturing environment.
My interest in natural healing has grown alongside my love for animals. I'm passionate about using natural remedies, such as herbalism and energy work, to promote wellness. I hold certifications in various holistic modalities, including:
* Aroma Freedom * Reflexology * Energy Work * Rain Drop Technique for Animals * Master Herbalist
I continue to expand my knowledge and explore new ways to help others, driven by a deep sense of purpose and a desire to make a positive impact on the world.
Feel free to check out my gorgeous Stronghold German Shepherds.

Will
A life rooted in land, from farm to forest.
I was born and raised on a bustling family farm in the heart of Craftsbury, Vermont. As a child, I spent countless hours working alongside my family, tending to crops and livestock. The rhythm of farm life was deeply ingrained in me, shaping my character and instilling a profound respect for the land. Until the age of 47, I continued to be an active farmer. During those years, I formed a special bond with Border Collies. These intelligent and loyal dogs were not just working companions; they were part of our family. It was common to see a tractor convoy, with as many as four Border Collies riding shotgun.
When the time came to transition from farming, I invested in a portable sawmill. The quiet solitude of the woods has always been a source of peace and inspiration for me. Our family-owned forest, with its winding trails and towering trees, is a place of solace and joy, especially when we gather there to reconnect. Having lived a life of service, I’ve been driven by a desire to help others. I've served as an assistant chief at the local fire department, contributing to the safety of my community. I've also been an head elder at my church, offering spiritual guidance and support. And as a volunteer with New England Search and Rescue, I've worked alongside my German Shepherd to locate lost individuals.
One of my favorite pastimes is canoeing the Allagash River with my family. The serene beauty of the wilderness and the camaraderie of shared experiences make it a truly special adventure.

Our family's simple life on the farm.
I'm a dedicated homeschooling mom and passionate dog breeder. My life revolves around my family, our beautiful farm, and our amazing dogs. I'm committed to providing a loving and nurturing environment for my four children. We believe in the power of hands-on learning and strive to instill a love of nature and animals in our children.
My passion for dogs, especially English Labradors and English Goldadors, led me to start Kingdom English Labradors. We're dedicated to breeding healthy, beautiful dogs with excellent temperaments.
When I'm not homeschooling or caring for our dogs, you can find me tending to our farm animals, spending time with my family, or exploring the great outdoors.
You can learn more about me at Kingdom English Labradors.

The cat lover.
Growing up on our family farm and being homeschooled has given me a truly rich and fulfilling childhood. As the self-proclaimed "cat lover" of the family, I've had the privilege of caring for numerous stray cats. We've trapped, spayed, and neutered many feral felines, providing them with warm shelters and plenty of food. It's incredibly rewarding when we earn their trust and witness the transformation from wild creatures to affectionate companions.
In addition to my love for cats, I enjoy playing guitar, singing, cooking, and spending time outdoors. Our annual canoeing trips on the Allagash River have instilled in me a deep appreciation for the wilderness and a sense of tranquility that's hard to find elsewhere. When my mom surprised me with a beautiful Maine Coon kitten, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to turn my passion into a family business. Check out my beautiful babies at Green Mountain Maine Coons.

Doing his own thing.
My wife Emily and I run a family business of our own, CT Stoneworks and Landscaping. We have one daughter named Hyla. As you can imagine, Hyla loves all types of animals, particularly her pony Prancer.
Because of our businesses, we are not as actively involved on the farm as the rest of my family. We keep busy with the landscaping business, our maple sugaring operation, and our country store in Craftsbury called 'Thompson's Country Store.

Our Grandchildren
Growing up on the farm.
Our five grandchildren all LOVE being on the farm! Here they can play with ponies, bunnies, goats, chickens, geese, and of course all of our English Cream Goldens, German Shepherds, and rescue animals.
We teach our grandchildren about compassion, kindness, loss, healing, and the importance of working hard and doing what you love.
